Dance Academy South West is a privately run college based entirely at Dance Station in Fishponds offering a part-time course in ISTD teacher training.

We have been running our dance courses since 1993 and we have been successful in securing good performing and teaching jobs for many of our students both in England and abroad.

The course offers teacher training in ISTD Modern, Tap and Ballet along with other classes of a high level to stretch yourself both as a teacher or performer.

Open Classes

These are offered in a variety of subjects with teachers direct from West End, Ballet Companies and other professional careers.

ISTD Exams

ISTD exams offered in Ballet, Modern Jazz, Tap and National. Also Diploma in Dance, instruction in Ballet, Modern & Tap. Click on the link for details

Course Fees

A yearly fee is payable to cover tuition. There will be extra charges throughout the year to cover any examinations, private lessons, and college trips.

Other Exams

RAD Ballet exams, musical Theatre, singing & drama exams are part of the course. AS and A2 in Dance and Theatre Studies are also available but only if we have sufficient numbers. Click on the link for further details
